Much Needed Nature Gift

God sent another little gift of grace through nature recently. Last month, I was drawn to a little pine tree outside of my office window. A recent snow storm storm had left about a foot of snow covering the bottom of the tree. I realized how subtly God reminds me of Himself through His creations.

My online business web site will be up and running soon.

I'll offer this photo as one of my notecard selections. Don't feel pressured to purchase anything. Sometimes people ask where they can get a certain photo from my blog.

Sorry for the delay in going "live" with the web site. My health hasn't been cooperating with my ambition lately. I've saved most of my energy for job interviews. I apologize for any inconvenience. Once it is set up, business will run smoothly. In the meantime, feel free to email or call me.

Please keep praying about the job. I really feel this one is God's will, but the battle for my heart is fierce. It would easily support my writing habit and perhaps I could finally finish the screenplay. I always thought I'd enjoy time off after a lay off, but I spend so much time looking for a job, handling insurance, etc. I have changed my mind.

Daydreamer to Visionary

I saw a cartoon recently showing two people in an office. The boss tells his employee, "Since I can't stop your mind from wandering, I'm promoting you from 'daydreamer' to 'visionary'."

In the corporate environment, I was known as a great "visionary." I sometimes wondered if this is what my staff said when they didn't understand me. Anyway, I loved this cartoon because it makes fun of this thin line I've walked my entire life.

Sorry I can't attribute the cartoon. There was no signature or marking on it.

New Year's Focus

After praying about my 2005 focus, I've come to an interesting conclusion: I want to walk so closely with God, that I will "overhear" Him speaking.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"
Isaiah 6:8

I've had enough brief moments like this to thirst for them. I hope you do, too.
